Help the Intervenors cover costs

The Mothers for Peace, an all-volunteer, non-profit organization, is currently defending a positive ruling from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. The Court agreed with Mothers for Peace that the NRC is not in compliance with national environmental law because it has not adequately addressed the environmental effects of a terrorist attack on the proposed dry cask storage facility.

The Mothers for Peace continues to monitor, to inform, and to push for the ultimate safety plan – a closed and decommissioned Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant. The Mothers for Peace holds fast to the belief that individuals can make a difference. Future generations are counting on the collective action of caring people in this community, this nation, and this world to preserve and protect our earth.

The Mothers for Peace invites you to join in its efforts. Mothers for Peace is currently looking for volunteers with fund-raising and event-planning skills. Such volunteers would not be expected to attend meetings or to become experts on technical or legal issues. They would help raise funds to continue the work of Mothers for Peace.
