The San Luis Obispo Mothers for Peace held a year-end update and informational meeting on Monday, December 20th at the San Luis Obispo public library on Palm Street. Members of the public were invited to hear an update on the status of the many legal challenges involving the Diablo Canyon nuclear reactor.

Also present at the meeting was broadcast journalist David Brancaccio, who will be reporting this story for the national PBS television program "NOW, with David Brancaccio". The story should air on January 14. For more information, call (805) 773-3881.

The NOW program is intrigued by our community's never-ending efforts to make Diablo Canyon safer and more secure. They were alerted to our legal cases by the California Attorney General who along with the Attorneys General of MA, WA and Utah filed to support our appeal to the 9th Circuit federal court.
