October 15, 2026: Independent Peer Review Panel (seismic)

The Independent Peer Review Panel (IPRP) is a multi-agency panel of seismic hazard specialists established by the California Public Utilities Commission for the purpose of assessing the potential seismic vulnerability of California’s power plants – including Diablo Canyon nuclear facility. SLO County Board of Supervisor Bruce Gibson is a member on this panel.

The upcoming IPRP meeting on October 15 will be held person in the Golden Gate Room at 505 Van Ness Ave, San Francisco. It can also be attended remotely. The meeting is set up as a webinar; attendees can type questions in the chat or raise their hand to be unmuted during the meeting.
