Saturday, August 6
noon – 2pm
Meet us on the corner of Chorro and Monterey Streets at the entrance to the Mission Plaza in San Luis Obispo. Bring messages of peace and a nuclear-free future.
It’s been 77 years since the U.S. detonated two atomic bombs over the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, killing more than 200,000 people instantly and many thousands more in the following months and years. Nuclear weapons are the most destructive, inhumane and indiscriminate weapons ever created, for they cause widespread destruction and genetically damaging radioactive fallout.
TAKE ACTION!
1.Join us on at the August event to recognize the 77th anniversary of the bombings.
2.The United States has not yet ratified the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. Contact Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and urge him to take steps to sign the treaty. contact form
